Its been discovered that AT&T corporate office has issued a no pre-selling policy to all their stores and affiliates. Fortunately, for many customers, a lot of stores arent listening to headquarters. Therefore, you may be able to get on a waiting list at some stores. Even if you are lucky enough to get on an iPhone pre order waiting list, your wait could still be quite long.
There is such a strong desire to own an iPhone by Apple, that there is probably going to be an iPhone availability shortage. When theres a new product release, its hard for a company to accurately anticipate demand. No one wants to have their product sitting on shelves collecting dust.
While Apple is shipping millions of iPhones out to stores, these will most likely be quickly snapped up by those already on waiting lists a mile long, or those willing to stand in line for days to be first to own one.

If you order from one of these sites, you may not get anything at all, so be careful. The iPhone frenzy will attract some scammers out to make a quick buck. If a site is offering a preorder deal and they cannot tell you when you might get the phone, then keep your money in your pocket.
So if you wish to buy Apple iPhone cell phone, realize that the Apple iPhone availability may be limited due to its popularity. The best you may be able to do is get on a waiting list and then wait patiently for the next shipment to arrive. Meanwhile, turn on your TV and watch the madness as it unfolds outside of numerous cell phone stores around the country.
