This short article is intended to give an impartial review of Derrick Vandyke’s Affiliate Cash Secrets program based on my own experiences since the program was launched in the summer of 2006.

What is it?
The program is designed to show ‘newbies’ how to make money from Affiliate Marketing on the internet and will teach even the most inexperienced how to actually make money on the internet. The beauty of this system, and affiliate marketing in general is that you do not need a website or a product of your own to get started.

So,how does it work?
Derrick teaches people the correct way to make money as an affiliate and that is by promoting squeeze pages, also called lead capture pages with the intention of capturing names and e-mail addresses to build a mailing list. It is a well known fact that most people who visit your website will not buy the first time around. So by building a mailing list and sending out regular mailing via your auto responding some of these people will buy from you later on. Derrick also provides you with pre-written e-mails for you to send to your new list.

Does it cost anything?
All the training and the squeeze pages to promote Affiliate Cash Secrets are provided completely free of charge, also included is an affiliate organizer to help you keep track of your affiliate details for all the different products you will be promoting via your mailing list. One thing that is required though, to make this system work, is an auto responder and this will cost between $12 and $20 a month depending on which one you choose. Derrick also offers a Gold Membership for around $30 a month and this is where he makes most of his money. Of course he offers so much more with this paid membership like, squeeze pages and free reports to promote some of the hottest selling products on the internet and helping to build your ‘lists’ even further.

Is it worth it?
The free membership is definitely worth it, the training offered here can be used to promote anything you want online. The Gold membership can be worth the expense if people are going to work the system and make use of the extra squeeze page and free reports.

Disadvantages
In my opinion some of the training offered is a bit basic, such as the section on e-zine advertising, which could do with expanding upon. One thing that Derrick and I disagree on is the subject of safelist advertising, in the training area Derrick advises against the use of safelists, whilst |personally get great results from using this type of advertising. This just goes to show how some methods work for some people and not others.

Conclusion
This is a good program for ‘newbies’ to get to grips with Affiliate Marketing and a very easy program for newcomers and more experienced internet marketers to promote and make money whilst at the same time building a mailing list that, if used correctly, can make money for months and even years to come.
